Threaded Flair is excited to introduce a beautiful collection of crochet doilies, featuring traditional, detailed, and dimensional stitch work - perfect as centerpieces, table toppers, or for your next craft project. Every piece is lovingly handcrafted using 100% cotton or Egyptian cotton thread. And there’s more to look forward to - a collection of crochet lace motifs, flowers, and leaves for appliqué use is coming before the end of the month!

The beaded jewelry collection has been quietly expanding, and there’s a lot to love in the latest arrivals. Geometric triangle earrings and necklaces feature beaded chains that have a kaleidoscope-like quality - the kind that takes you right back to childhood. Triangle necklaces with beaded chains also offer non-metal closures for those who prefer them. New this week are western and Native-inspired short fringe earrings, handcrafted with Miyuki round beads.

THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH:

No matter what you faced yesterday - failures, setbacks, or exhaustion - each new morning is a fresh start and a fresh pouring out of God's grace. You don't have to carry the weight of yesterday into today. Let the past be the past, step into the light of this new day, and trust that God's strength is waiting to sustain you.

Outdoor Summer Tips:

  • Master High-Desert Hydration - Living in a dry, sunny climate means dehydration can sneak up on you before you even notice. Get ahead of it by sipping water throughout the day rather than waiting until you're parched, and make a reusable water bottle your constant companion. A squeeze of fresh lemon or a handful of frozen berries adds a little flavor and helps restore the electrolytes your body is working hard to keep up with.

  • Avoid Peak Heat Hours - The hours between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. tend to be the hottest part of the day, so it's worth planning around them. Shift your hikes, runs, or any intense activity to the early morning or evening, when the air is cooler and the experience is far more enjoyable.

  • Don't Forget Sun Safety - Summer UV levels here are relentlessly high, so sunscreen isn't optional. Go broad-spectrum, SPF 30 minimum, cover every exposed inch of skin, and reapply every two hours. And don't skip the spots people always miss - ear tops, back of the neck, and your scalp are just as vulnerable as the rest of you.

  • Smart Summer Dressing - When it comes to staying cool, your outfit matters more than you'd think. Stick to lightweight, loose-fitting clothes in light colors and breathable fabrics like cotton or linen - dark colors soak up the sun and trap heat, so leave those for cooler days. A wide-brimmed hat and a good pair of UV-blocking sunglasses are the perfect finishing touches.
