As a former graphic designer, I am used to controlling colors perfectly with digital codes on a screen. But when I sit at my workstation with glass seed beads, the rules change entirely. The way glass reflects the afternoon sun, the rich textures of a stone-like Picasso finish, and the depth of metallic bronzes and vibrant teals allow me to compose these landscapes physically, bead by bead.
Because each pair is painstakingly hand-woven using a traditional brick stitch, these are truly limited-edition statement drops. Once a colorway is gone, it won't be restocked this season.

How to wind yarn into cakes?
No Tools Needed Wind Your Yarn Into Cakes:
Before you start winding a center-pull cake by hand, grab a core object to build around - a wooden kitchen spoon, a fat marker, or a rolled tube of cardboard are all ideal choices.
Trap the center strand: Grip the wooden spoon handle in your non-dominant hand. Lay the yarn end along it, letting about 6 inches dangle below your fist. Press it down with your thumb to keep it in place - that dangling tail is your center pull string, so don't let it escape!
Begin your base layer by winding the yarn firmly around the handle's center. Work in straight, horizontal passes — aim for 15 to 20 wraps — until you have a snug, even bundle that will anchor everything that comes next.
After each set of diagonal wraps, slightly rotate the spoon handle in your grip. This repeated criss-cross motion gradually forms the even, flat surfaces on the top and bottom of the cake.
Slide the cake off the wooden spoon, loosely tie the outer tail around the exterior, and pull the starting strand out through the middle.

Reflection:
Just like the deliberate steps of winding a messy skein into a neat, peaceful yarn cake, or selecting the exact right contrast of colors for a new beadwork pattern, God works intentionally to restore order and peace to our hearts.
This endless summer heat can drain our physical energy, and the constant hustle of daily life can easily leave our spirits feeling dry and stretched thin. But Jesus does not ask us to run on empty. He invites us to step away from the busyness, lay down our heavy to-do lists, and simply rest in His presence.
This August, let's take a deep breath, hand our exhaustion over to the Lord, and allow His grace to completely replenish our weary souls with a peace that refreshes us from the inside out.
