ABBREVIATIONS & STITCHES
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
2-DC Cluster: Yarn over, insert hook in stitch indicated, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook; repeat from * once more, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
Shell: 2-dc cluster, ch 1, 2-dc cluster.
PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
Foundation: Chain 171.
ROW 1: Work a Shell (2-dc cluster, ch 1, 2-dc cluster) in the 5th ch from hook (Note: The 4 skipped chains count as your first dc and a skipped chain). Skip the next ch, dc in the next ch. Skip the next ch, work a Shell in the next ch, skip the next ch, dc in the next ch. Repeat from to across.
ROW 2: Ch 2, turn. Dc in the first dc and in the next ch-1 space (the space inside the shell). Skip the next 2-dc cluster, work a Shell in the next dc, dc in the next ch-1 space. Repeat from * across to the last 2 sts. Skip the next 2-dc cluster and work a Shell in the last dc.
ROW 3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc) and turn. Work a Shell in the next dc. Dc in the next ch-1 space of the shell, skip the next 2-dc cluster, work a Shell in the next dc. Repeat from * across to the last dc, dc in the last dc.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until you have completed a total of 110 rows.
Finishing: Fasten off and weave in all ends with your blunt needle.
